STIHL RAPID™ Super (RS): STIHL RAPID™ Super is an extremely fast-cutting chain. Its cutter and tie strap design reduces vibration levels significantly while still utilizing the aggressive full-chisel design. The razor-edged, square-cornered cutter shape ensures minimum chain friction for an exceptionally smooth and clean cut in hard or frozen wood. It offers excellent cutting and plunge-cutting efficiency.

STIHL RAPID™ Super Full Skip (RSF): There is an extra drive link and tie straps between each cutter, allowing better chip discharge and higher chain speed. The razor-edged, square-cornered cutter shape ensures minimum chain friction for an exceptionally smooth and clean cut in hard or frozen wood. It offers excellent cutting and plunge-cutting efficiency. Since there aren’t as many cutters, RSF chain reduces the amount of time needed for sharpening.

STIHL RAPID™ Micro™ (RM): STIHL RAPID™ Micro™ features a semi-chisel type of cutter which has more cutting surface, so it typically doesn’t get dull as fast as a full-chisel chain during normal use, making it easier to maintain.

STIHL PICCO™ Super (PS3): STIHL PICCO™ Super 3 is a low-profile, low-kickback chisel saw chain. The razor-edged, square-cornered cutter shape ensures minimum chain friction for an exceptionally smooth and clean cut in hard or frozen wood. Considered a high-performance cutting chain, it has improved cutting and boring efficiency with less feed force and a 15% faster cutting speed when compared to the PM3 saw chain.

STIHL PICCO™ Super (PS): New and exclusive to STIHL; the 3/8” PICCO™ low-vibration, full-chisel saw chain has been developed specially for professional loggers and arborists. It combines an extremely high cutting capacity with excellent cutting quality and good operator comfort.

STIHL PICCO™ Micro™ (PM/PM3): STIHL PICCO™ Micro™/Micro™ 3 chain is a low-kickback, narrow kerf, smooth-cutting and low-profile chain ideal for small to mid-sized chain saws with between 1.0 kW and 1.9 kW. It performs equally well as compared to the PMM3 chain, with the only difference being a slight increase in weight. This semi-chisel chain does not usually get dull as fast as full-chisel chain in normal use and is easier to maintain and sharpen.

STIHL PICCO™ Duro (PD3): Our first carbide-tipped low-profile saw chain. Stays sharp up to four times longer than regular saw chain, even when exposed to extremely high loads. In addition, the STIHL PICCO™ Duro is a low-vibration chain with a reduced kickback tendency.

STIHL RAPID™ Duro (RD3): The STIHL RAPID™ Duro saw chain features standard-sized cutters with carbide tips, staying sharp up to four times longer than standard chains. The RD3 is extremely durable and produces very good results in all types of wood. It is especially suited for cutting dirty wood, treated wood, roots and hardwoods, which would quickly dull conventional chains. This chain must be re-sharpened with a formed diamond grinding wheel or diamond stone. Available in .325” and 3/8” pitch.

STIHL RAPID™ Duro Rescue (RDR): This chain has been purpose-built for the demanding needs of fire and rescue specialists and therefore is for use by specially trained emergency services personnel only. RDR is the recommended chain for use on the MS 461 R STIHL Rescue saw for cutting wood, roofing materials, aluminum siding, etc. Cutters are reinforced with tungsten carbide and cobalt for strength.

STIHL DIAMOND ABRASIVE (GBM): This chain combines heat-treated rivets and drive links with diamond grinding segments to chew through concrete, cinderblock and even rebar. Each drive link is marked with an arrow for proper chain orientation (for use on the GS 461).
